With reason, its slogan is Asturias Paraíso Natural.
But beyond this environmental wealth, the history of Asturias is an epic adventure that has survived the passage of time leaving unique vestiges such as, pre-Romanesque art, prehistoric art, Roman remains and pre-Roman settlements or even the footprints of an Industrial Revolution based on mining and steel.
The hard life of its inhabitants through the centuries between the mountains and the sea has left a singular legacy that currently coexists in perfect harmony with an urban and modern society.
